They really never go away! Online Daters

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about Online Daters that you meet online and date maybe once or twice and it just doesn't work out. If you stay on the same Online Dating site long enough, I find that I still end up hearing from them in the future. Last week, I had 3 messages from previous guys that I went out with. There was no love connection with these guys yet they still message me? I just don't get it!
I even get text messages from these guys. It's hilarious, it starts with a "hey you". Then I send the standard"?" back. Then I get a this is so and so from POF. Obviously, I gave my digits to this guy and he didn't text until months later so of course I have no idea who he is. Then he sends a photo.. Then I remember who he is. I don't answer back. What is the point anyway? Seriously, why did he wait so long?
These guys must have so many numbers stored up on their phones, it's like a modern day " little black book"!
You know these guys just think we are going to jump up and text them back after not hearing from them for months? I don't care what anyone says, this is just a big crap shoot..

My Thoughts About Ray Rice's Wife.. He Knocked Her Out!

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about the wife of Ray Rice the NFL Football player. Ok, he knocked her out cold in the elevator. From the video that was posted everywhere, clearly they were having a pretty serious argument at the time. I am not defending him at all but where is the blame on her? She clearly was striking him several times before he hit her. Isn't that assault? I mean it's just not ok for women to hit men either.
I'm not in any way saying she deserved it because she didn't, what he should have done after she hit him was walk away and if she didn't stop then he should have called the police on her. But that's not what happened and his anger got the best of him and he should have never done that to her. He is a man with a serious problem! Then he spit on her? What a piece of work he is.
Then she marries him and defends him. Well this is typical behavior of an abused woman. I have been there but I was lucky enough to get out.
My X-husband is a former NFL player too. He never physically abused me but he emotionally and verbally abused me to no end. It's an ego problem these guys have and most of them are womanizers and cheat on their wives/girlfriends all the time. They are used to getting whatever they want and I bet that fight with Ray Rice and his then fiancé was about another woman. I would bet money on it and frankly I believe the real reason she married him and is defending him is because she wants to live that lifestyle and realizes her chances are slim to none if he doesn't get his job back.
She is very stupid and naive in my opinion and I guarantee this will not be the last time we hear about their abusive relationship in the future.
My prediction is she will be knocked up soon and it won't be the last time she will get knocked out by him.

Ladies Dont GiveThe Wrong Impression

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about first impressions. On your Online Dating profile "pictures" don't give them a picture that highlights your tits unless you're looking for a " hook up" or "sex on the first date". And most of all, don't get upset if you're attracting guys that are just plain rude and disrespectful. I've done some research and I am shocked to find that probably about 70% of women's profiles are pictures you would be embarrassed to show in the outside world more less all over cyberspace! Just imagine if a co-worker saw your profile pictures where you look like you are straight out of a porn magazine. Yes, I acknowledge men like tits but they are also looking for a woman who respects herself enough that she doesn't have to post such nasty pictures in order to get a man. Seriously, what kind of impression are you trying to show here?
Honestly, I've spoken to men who straight out laugh at those profiles however; they will contact you to get laid no doubt.
First impressions show everything and let's really think about what kind of man you really want to attract. If you post pictures like that you definitely appear to be desperate and no good man is going to take you seriously. I don't care if you're overweight or anything, have some respect for yourself and by doing so you have a much better chance of attracting a good guy.

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I was pleasantly surprised I met a really nice guy on POF. It's too early to tell but I like what I see and hear for now.
You never know when love could sneak up on you so if you meet someone nice then you should open your heart and mind and just see what happens.
I will follow the why men love b}#% book. By the way, I wasnt even looking... :)

Update: Although he was a really nice guy he was just a little to clingy and so I decided not to see him again. No big deal I am just not ready for what he is looking for.

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about just really bad online daters. What I am talking about is in my case men that are just plain selfish, immature, lazy, mean and no manners whatsoever. This starts on the first message or phone call. Pretty much you should be able to spot a bad dater right off the bat but there are exceptions. Some guys or girls are just plain professionals and they really can fool you into dating them.
I have found that I tend to meet the guys that are just looking for sex or have too many requirements that I just cannot meet.
You have to know when to pull the plug and kick them to the curb if they do not treat you with respect.
The big mistake is continuing the roller coaster relationship for reasons other than you're just good together. The other person has to be emotionally ready for a relationship. Stay away from daters with substance abuse problems. If they are in recovery, it is recommended that they be sober for at least a year before you get involved with them. They are just plain not ready for a relationship.
I know from experience how hard it is to stay away and just cut it off but it's better to be alone than to be treated badly. Respect yourself enough to know when to walk away.

SkulCandyHasANewUserName PlentyOFFishOnlineDating

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about when people change their Usernames so often on Online Dating Sites. OK, I can understand if you took your profile down and deleted it because of a good reason maybe you were in a relationship? SkulCandy has a new username. Everything else is the same, same person, same personality, same games and everything just a new Username.
The only way I know about this is he made sure he checked my profile out so that I could see him back on there. Really dude? I.m over it already.
It doesn't matter how many times you change your username you are still the same person playing games with womens heads.
I feel better now, thanks for letting me vent.

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about what people put in their profiles as " requirements" , meaning you must meet this certain criteria or I'm not dating you. I can see some things like age, height, location etc but I got a message from a guy that had so many " requirements" that I don't even think Jennifer Aniston could meet.
He said if you do the following things then move on because I will not date you.
1. If you are on any kind of antidepressants. Ok, all of my friends are on some kind of antidepressant meds these days.. Seriously?
2. If you've had any plastic surgery. Ok, I've had some work done as most of my friends have too. I mean Botox is a necessity and what's the big deal anyway? This guy is so stupid, if a woman feels good about herself she will be happy and you will be happy too. I don't know one woman who doesn't want to look good and when you get older some things are a given like Botox.
3. No drama. Ok, as I've covered this before but life is full if drama and everyone has some or you are just not a normal person.
4. No baggage. This is the same as drama, everyone has baggage and life experiences make most people better and stronger people.
5. Married more than once. Ok, I'm pissed at this one because everyone makes mistakes and the men you need to worry about are the ones who never got married. Commitment problems there and this guy says he's never been married yet... To me that's a big red flag if a guy is over 40 and has never been married.
So to sum this all up, the guy is unrealistic and I did message him back and say I don't meet all your criteria and good luck finding someone who does because that person doesn't exist.

It Starts With A Honey Or Sweetheart

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk to you about Sexual Harassment in the workplace. Ladies and Gentleman, please be careful and pay attention to the way people talk to you at work. This is for both sexes male and female. It starts with a "Hello Honey" or "Hello Sweetheart" or something similiar. Most people would probably think this is ok and innocent but in most cases it isn't.
It quicky moves on from there to other sayings or gestures and can lead to sexual assault. Anything that a person says or does to you that makes you feel uncomfortable, please let them know right away the FIRST time. You can easily say "I'm not your Sweetheart". That will usually stop them right there. Trust me and I speak from experience, if you don't stop it in the beginning, it will only get worse.
Young people especially need to know about this so if anyone comes to you in the workplace and are complaining of this, please advise them to go to a Supervisor and also to Document the day and time and what was said on paper. You may need this later idf this escalates. I was sexually harassed and assaulted in my workplace and it was a total nightmare. Thanks for reading.

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about men that I have met on Online Dating Sites that are just "Players". What I mean by this is that they are just sketchy. They date multiple women and you may not find out about this until later but eventually you will no doubt. They say all the right things to get you to hold on to that string. The minute you grab on they pull back. Then the minute you let go, they come running. It's a crazy game they play. If you are too available they don't want you but if they have to chase you down or if there is another man in the mix he knows about then it's "game on get that girl".
When can we ever be real? And is it really possible to find love on an Online Dating site? I'm still trying to figure it out...

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about Holidays and Online Dating. I have been on dating sites off and on for years and it has been my experience that the time leading up to and even on the holidays, I get a lot more traffic. It just proves that people are lonely and that's ok. No one wants to spend holidays alone and I get that. I have spent many holidays alone even when I was married. Oh yes, my husband was in the same house but I was still alone. I'd rather be psychically alone than with someone and feel alone.
Even the guys that say " Casual Dating No Commitment" are a lot more active on the holidays. They aren't fooling anyone, everyone is looking for love.
