Don't Respond To Your X If They Are Dangerous!

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about X's. I myself have been lied to, cheated on numerous times, a victim of theft and deceit, manipulated by and even involved in a murder to hire scheme by an X. This person was the love of my life or so I thought. I let myself be verbally and emotionally abused by the person that I loved and trusted the most. Fortunately for me I was smart enough to get out but the scars are never ending. For the last few years I have not slept well due to the fact that I am afraid for my life. I have even moved my residence a couple times and got a security system for my home.
This all started on a dating site. I ignored all the red flags and hence wasted many many years of my life that I can never get back. Unfortunately, all the distance can still not stop my X from contacting me. He is very manipulative and will go to any lengths to tug at my heart strings even going as far as to bring up my deceased father which was a very emotional time for me. Some people just get off on making other people miserable. It's a control thing. Even though we're divorced he still wants control over my life.
A master manipulator who can string along several women at the same time and knows exactly what to say to keep them on the line. I'm telling you these women he cheated on me with are not attractive and much older than myself. He must have made them feel like they were Pamela Anderson or something to keep them around and they bought every word he said to them. So did I! But I got out and just want to be left alone now. To me, he is dead. I can only hope that the women he's stringing along will find out about my website for their own personal and emotional safety. I believe that God is good and justice will be served and I also know that I have to forgive him and I did but I will never forget or let him draw me back into his life because my life is platinum now compared to what it was with him.
Readers, don't keep bad people around. If someone has hurt you physically, verbally or emotionally, run as fast as you can and never respond to them if they contact you! Never EVER meet them in person alone after you have broken up because they could kill you and I'm not kidding about this! I've seen the Dateline stories about X's that kill because of rejection and mental illness. Don't take that chance, there are way too many fish in the sea to hang on to someone that is harmful and dangerous to you. Be good to yourself and stay safe.

Should you sign a Pre-Nup or not?

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about "Pre-Nups". I have a friend who was all engaged and ready to get married yet 2 days before the wedding he told her she had to sign a "Pre-a nup" or he would not marry her. They had been in church marriage counseling for a few months and he never even mentioned anything about a pre-nup! What a piece of work that guy is. Seriously to go through all the motions of the engagement, the engagement party, the bachelorette party, friends and family flying in from out of town and never bring this up until 2 days before the wedding? What would you do! Honestly this friend of mine owns her own home and is already financially stable so she's not in it for money but my opinion is he should have brought this up during the pre marital counseling! I think he's a coward! My friend called the wedding off and I'm happy she did because what else could he be holding back from telling her? This is deception in my opinion and I certainly believe in pre-nups as long as both parties are satisfied. I myself will never co-mingle my money with a man even if I were to marry again. I got burned badly by me x-husband who embezzled a great amount of my money before we separated and I never got it back. Lesson learned. My friend will be ok because she has lots of family and friends to help her get over this but where are the REAL men out there that are honest and forthright these days? Someone please tell me so I can go to wherever they are! I'm pretty sure they are not on dating sites but you never know unless you keep trying.
Everyone deserves someone to love and a life partner but I have no idea where they are.

Ladies, Don't Go To His Place On The First Date!

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about Online Dating safety. I get many messages from guys that want me to come to their place for the first meeting. First off, I think this could mean a lot of different things. 1. They are too lazy to go to a agreed upon meeting place that is public where you can feel safe and comfortable. You do all the work by driving to his place and he does probably zero. I got a message from a guy that said " I just picked up a 6 pack of beer want to join me at my place to relax? This guy is out of his mind obviously and any woman that would do this is really stupid in my opinion! 2. They are seeing how far you will go, if you are willing to go to their place on the first date then that is what they will expect your entire dating life with him. They have no clue how to date and they just want to get laid. I'm sure they will have alcohol for you, then you might drink too much and of course he'll want you to spend the night. Don't fall for this! 3. They may be a dangerous person who might try and date rape you or worse. Don't take that chance!
A genuine guy will want you to feel comfortable and safe. I say let him come to you ( not at your house) but somewhere close. This will show good intentions on his part and I'm old fashioned, I believe he should come to you. Don't let him pick you up at your house even if he is insisting! You don't know this person and remember he's a total stranger.
Another guy wanted me to come to his place so he could BBQ and then sit in his jacuzzi! This is a ploy to see what you look like in a bikini. Don't fall for that either! Be very careful as this Online Dating is good but can be very dangerous.

Plenty of Fish Online Creeper! Meow! Warning Sexual Content!

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about a POF Online Dater. I got a message from this POF guy. "Llove2eatkitt". This guy's profile read like this: 'I am not looking for a girlfriend or relationship just to pleasure you that's it. No going out on dates, just getting a room I go down on you to climax and if you want to stay and chill great if not you go on your way till next time"!
This is what really upsets me about Online Dating. Anyone can create a profile and say pretty much whatever they want. This person could be a serial killer, married, or even in a committed relationship. Why would any woman respond to this guy? I wonder if he got any replies..
These Online Dating sites are for DATING! If you are looking for just sex, go to Vegas and get a prostitute! These guys need to stay off of the dating sites! I can't even believe what I read!
Women, if you get a message like this from an Online Creeper, for your own safety do not even reply to him. He is looking for attention and he could be a very dangerous person! Don't even give him a reply, you will just open yourself up for something bad or dangerous! Remember, anyone can go on these sites and look at your personal information and pictures. Please be very vague and do not reveal too much personal information about yourself on your profiles. These people are total strangers and I think we tend to forget that all too often. Be safe, not sorry.

*update* I reported this guy and POF took his profile down...

High School Friends Re-connected after 30 years!

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about re-connecting with my old high school friends. I have recently connected with and see at least once a week with my high school friends. It's such a great feeling reminiscing and having drinks! We are having the best time.
We've gone on several trips, sailing to Catalina, San Francisco and more.
Some of us are divorced, some are still married , almost all of us have kids and we just have so much fun and respect for each other.
If you have friends, keep them around because they are loyal and they love you and they want what's best for each Other! I love them and thank them for being in my life!

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about something creepy that happened to me recently. I was out with my high school friends just minding my own business at a Yaught Club event. A couple ( husband and wife) came up to me and started a conversation. There was 1 empty seat next to me and the husband asked if he could sit down next to me. Now, if he wAs a real gentleman he would have had his wife sit down but no, he left her standing. He proceeded to hit on me several times in the matter of about an hour! Even my friends noticed. His wife was either "clueless" Or if she did notice, she never said anything. If that were my husband I would have thrown him over the balcony!
Why are some married men so creepy? I have no idea but I was totally appalled and pissed off I could barely keep my mouth shut. Finally right when I was just ready to say something to him, he got the hint and took his wife and walked away.
Married men, have respect for your wives and don't hit on single women because we think it's CREEPY! Ugh! And wives, if your husband treats you like this, kick him to the curb! Don't put up with it!

Thank you NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell!

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to send a a Thank You out to the NFL Commissioner Mr. Roger Goodell. I myself have been a victim of domestic violence in my life. I find it very disturbing that these Pro Athletes seem to think they can get away with assaulting kids and adults whenever they want and they seem to get away with it all too often. I know this has been going on for decades but the time it really came to light for me was with the OJ Simpson trial. He got away with murder and it all started from that first push, punch, shove, unkind word, bullying and the list goes on.
It always starts with something little or minor or you excuse it as a mistake or whatever, but eventually it becomes a beating.
I believe Pro Athletes' wives or girlfriends really love living that plush lifestyle. I think they endure a lot just to live the way they do. It's really sad that they think that way and won't ever get the courage to leave. Some will end up dead and some hurt badly not to mention the emotional abuse that always goes hand in hand with the assaults.
The commissioner got a big wake up call recently with the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson incidents and I believe he stepped up to the plate. He admitted the NFL made a mistake and I believe him when he says he is going to ensure that if this happens again, swift action will be taken. I believe him and I could see his sincerity that he had during his speech. I believe he is a strong leader and has done a great job managing the NFL and I have faith in him to bring the status of the NFL back to good standing in very little time.
After all, it takes a special person to admit when they were wrong and take the necessary steps to correct their mistakes. I applaud him and thank him for his effort in helping to eliminate this bad behavior and the athletes who practice it.

Just Cut Them Off -Bad Online Daters

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about when to just cut someone off from communication from an Online Dating site. Now and then you will come across an Online Dater that in the beginning you liked them and possibly even dated but they no longer serve a positive purpose in your life so you will have to cut them off. Relationships end and more likely than not, they end badly. It's just life folks.
I truly believe that by eliminating bad people from your life you are opening the door for even better opportunities.
Now let's talk about how to do this exactly. Well, from my experience I have run across a couple of Online Daters that just got real mean and nasty and rude to me that I had to cut them off. The way you do this is you just do not respond to their messages including text messages and phone calls. You can block them on the dating site and block their phone number from your phone. A little trick is this, no one memorizes phone numbers anymore with advanced technology so simply block then delete their phone number from your phone. You most likely will never hear from them again and you will not be tempted at a lonely moment to call or text them because you won't know their number.
Don't spend your precious time being around people who do not help make you a better person and who are just not kind people. It's not worth it, relationships like rules are meant to be broken sometimes for the better.
Treat yourself good, you deserve it!

Finances and Online Dating

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about your Finances and Online Dating. You are probably wondering what the two have in common but unfortunately this is a big problem today on Online Dating Sites. This happens to both sexes all too often. You must always be aware of the "Scammer", "Opportunist", "Con-Man/Woman", and flat out "liar" when you are dating online.
I have heard many stories from people about Men and Women who will scan the Online Dating Sites for unsuspecting persons to scam them out of their money. It's easy for them to spot a lonely or desperate Man or Woman who will spend all the money on someone they met on a dating site because that person is telling them everything they want to hear. These people are professional scammers and will take advantage of your last penny if you let them.
I have watched countless "Dateline" stories where people will be scammed out of hundred of thousands of dollars or more.
A good example would be a woman who is lonely and meets a younger man on the dating site. This man is charming, good looking and knows all the right things to say to make the woman feel "special". He has no car, no phone, no job or no place to live. The woman is so desperate for attention that she will buy him a phone so that they can "keep in touch", possibly even buy him a car and give him cash just to keep him around. The same thing applies for men who get scammed by women or even men.men, women/women.
When you meet someone online and they have no car, phone, job or place to live (any one of these), then the chances are pretty high that they are looking for a free ticket. I believe that a person who doesn't have their life together has no business scanning the Dating Sites looking for a meal ticket.
My advice would be this: If you meet someone online who is down on their luck with no car, job, phone or place to live then run as far as you can because chances are this person is going to scam you and use you for what he/she doesn't have. These sort of people want the easy way out and will scan the Dating Sites looking for suckers that will be so needy that they will give them their last dime. Once the person gets what they want, they will move on to the next person or even possibly be scamming more than one person at the same time. Be very cautious and very selective when choosing someone to date. Most of the time these people are not looking for love, they are looking for money and someone to take care of them financially. Don't be fooled!

Religion and Online Dating

Hello Readers, Linda here. Today I want to talk about Religion and Online Dating. For me this is a very important thing, probably the most important thing I look at when I am looking for a mate online. This is one of the first places I look for on their profiles. I am happy to announce that most every dating site, especially the large ones have this as a option to discolse on your profiles.
When you are looking for a mate, much like "Politics and Online Dating", it is a wise choice to choose someone of the same religion as yourself. For example, I am a Christian. I would not date an Athiest, Agnostic, Jewish or any other religiion than my own. I don't agree with the idea that when you meet someone, do not talk about politics or religion, just keep it light. Well, I strongly disagree with this. I believe though that it should not even get to that point in the first place where you find yourself across the table from a total stranger you met online without knowing first their political or religious preference. A person really needs to know this before going out otherwise it is a waste of time.
Let's face it, why would you want to be with an Athiest if you are a Christian or Catholic or Jew or any religion? Is it because you think you can change that person into believing what you do? If you even THINK this is a possability you are sadly mistaken. People do not change! What you see is what you get so why even go there? You will waste your time and energy on trying to change someone's opinion and it's a big mistake and I speak from experience.
Let's talk about a couple that go out never worrying about or taking into consideration the other person's political or religion beliefs. Let's say John and Julie go out and fall in love. John is an Athiest and Julie is a Catholic. Neither one of them has been married or has any kids. They fall in love and get married in Vegas.. after all, John won't get married in the Catholic Church and Julie is too much in love and doesn't really care so she lets it go even when she is confronted by her family. Her family really wants her to be married in the Catholic Chruch. This is usually the first of many conflicts to come with the families. Off to Vegas they go...
Julie gets pregnant and they have a baby. Julie really wants to have the baby christened in the Catholic Church but John highly disagrees and it's the beginning of the fights and arguments. Julie really wants to raise their baby Catholic and John is not having any part of that. Soon, it becomes more of a problem then the actual being in love. Obviously this is not only causing probelms with John and Julie, but with their family members as well. Julie cannot really expect John to change his opinion after all she married him knowing he is an Athiest and this creates much stress, turmoil, arguments and resentment in their marriage. Soon, they will divorce but the battle will still continue until the baby is an adult and throughout the life of the child because the child will be torn in which direction to go.
This is simply unfair to do to any child and should be avoided at any price. It takes more than just LOVE to make any relationship work. You will need to have the same political and religion as your mate in order to have a successful partnership.
Trust me on this one. The divorce rate for couples who do not have the same beliefs are extremely high. Couples with the same beliefs have a much better chance at staying married.
